Circuit and Municipal Courts
First offense OWI arrests are civil offenses and are prosecuted in the municipal court of the city where the arrest occurred.
Second and subsequent arrests are charged as criminal offenses and are prosecuted in the Circuit Court for the county in which the arrest occurred.
